About

Since I was a kid, I have always been into anime, comics and videogames. And most of titles I enjoyed at that time were from Japan – whether it’s a PlayStation game or a film. Some of my favorites are Akira, Final Fantasy, One Piece, Ghost in the Shell, Paprika, Evangelion, Trigun, Blame, DMC, Tekken, Dragon Ball, Legend of the Galactic Heroes to name a few. Still love that aesthetics of 90’s anime and the Y2K era.

Japanese artists had strong impact on me from the very beginning that, essentially, turned into an impulse to start my own journey in art. But it wasn’t straight to where I am now. At the beginning of my creative endeavors, I was listening to Daft Punk, Avicii, Nujabes, and I started creating electronic music first. That was a wonderful time.

It was 2017 when I finally picked up drawing, primarily learning from books and various materials available on the web. I spent a lot of time deconstructing and carefully studying the works of great artists like Eugene Delacroix, Edgar Payne, Tsutomu Nihei, Scott Robertson, Oda Eichiro, Yoshitaka Amano, Takashi Murakami, John Harris and many others. Japanese artists that I mentioned have a lot in their art that resonates with me personally because they were directly connected to what I loved so much back then when I was a kid. Tsutomu Nihei’s incredible architectural concepts. Oda Eichiro world building and grand scale of work. Yoshitaka Amano’s ethereal gestural strokes. Takashi Murakami’s colorful and surreal “Superflat”. There’s so much in their work, they influenced me in so many ways.

The pivotal point in my career was when I learned about 3d modelling tools, particularly Blender 3D – the one I immediately fell in love with. It was that time when created my very first concepts. Designing robots and vehicles – that was my passion at that time, I learned super-fast. Gaining more and more experience and eventually feeling confident with intricate modelling, I quickly realized I want more – create WORLDS! For that I had to learn new mediums and techniques and then find a way to integrate it all into my workflow. So, my focus smoothly shifted to creating architectural concepts and atmospheric environmental design in the Sci-Fi genre. The genre in which I can spill out all the ocean of imagery from the world of ideas into the one we’re living in. Multi-Layered cities with no XYZ limit, orbital stations of monstrous sizes, «STAR EATERS», mysterious structures “stitching” the planet, giant ships wandering in the cosmic sea – this is Marcel Deneuve.

As soon as I switched my focus, I created my own pages on Instagram and Twitter to share my artworks with the world. It didn’t take long ‘til I got my first thousand followers and the first big commission. Since then, I’ve been growing at high speed both personally and socially.

One of the most notable collaborations was with Barrelhand. The outcome of this was a piece called “Heron”, which was soon delivered to the Moon surface on “Memory Disc” – a distinguished collaborative project between Barrelhand Inc. and UNESCO.

In my free time, apart from visual art, I enjoy reading literature on science, philosophy and history; writing stories and making music/sound design for my animations; exploring technology and web3. Some of my favorite authors include Henry Miller, Peter Watts, Leo Tolstoy, Friedrich Nietzsche.

These days I spend most of my time developing stories and building worlds around them. This is what I enjoy the most and hopefully one day I’ll share them with you 😉
